LG-DR6921N - Errors in reading different DVD-RW media

Had this recorder for a few months now, but recently its been acting up with DVD-RW discs, even its own recommended LG Discs.

After a recording session (not yet finalized) and the recorder is turned off, when turning it back on, it often does not read the disc properly and prompts you to format the disc. Otherise it will just eject the disc. This with LG, Sony and Memorex DVD-RW discs tried so far.

Any advice/comments appreciated.

Well now its rejecting all disks, even new unformatted ones.
