I've been authoring with Dvd-Lab pro. Nothin too complicated. Just add menu for subtitle selection and chapters and thats all.
    Then I burn with Nero.

Sometimes is works fine. But sometimes Nero tells me that there is an "Error" with the dvd files. Actually it tells me that a .BUP file is missing. Thats because DVD Lab, SOMETIMES, is not creating this .BUP file when compiling.

Nero gives me the option to burn the movie anyway. I do and it works great on the dvd player... But why that happens?

I do all my movies with the exact same way. same encoder, same audio grabber, etc. Sometimes this .BUP is created (no prob with Nero) and sometimes it is not created (Nero gives error).

    what's wrong?

    Which version of DLP ?

The .BUP files are a backup for the .IFO files. Software that correctly write DVD video discs place the ifo and bup files at different locations to minimise the risk of both being damaged together. Nero doesn't do this, so I guess if it's missing it doesn't make a lot of difference.

First thig to do is upgrade DLP to the latest version. If it is still omitting .bup files (something I haven't seen before), copy your .ifo files and rename to .bup before burning.
