Hi,
What is the best DVD media brand to purchase for longevity?
I am now using the Comp USA brand. I have my photography and my
movies on the DVD's. Is it okay to use the Sharpie marker made for DVD to label or
should I get a printer to label. If so, what printer?
I have a Mac G4 and work with iMovie and iDVD, the lastest versions.

1, Taiyo Yuden
2, Writing on the discs is fine
3, Don't bother with the stick on labels, buy inkjet printable media and a decent printer, Epson R220 or whatever the USA equivalent is.He's a liar and a murderer, and I say that with all due respect. -
I would back up/transfer the data from those Comp USA brand DVDs ASAP. House brands are made from the cheapest junk available and not very reliable.
Check out lordsmurf's website, it has some good info on blank media: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/index.htm
Writing on a DVD is fine with a water based soft-tipped pen (do not use a ball point pen). The Sharpie is a common choice. Some people say dog is mans best friend. I say that man is dog's best slave... At least that is what my dogs think.
