Hello all--
Well, I'm back after several months of an unavoidable delay in my project of converting my VHS-C tapes to DVD's. You all have been wonderfully helpful in what hardware and software to get hold of. I've got it all--ScenalyzerLive, AVISynth, Virtualdub, VirtualdubMod, TMPGEncPlus, TMPGEnc DVD Author,GSpot, Convulution3D, a bitrate calculator, WinDV, you name it, it's here. Hardware: AVCD Canopus 110, Datavideo TBC-1000, JVC HR-S9800U. Now, my only problem is . . . after exhaustive reading, I still don't know how to run the software. My first attempt: I captured in ScenalyzerLive, opened up Virtualdub, only to be told: "Couldn't locate decompressor 'dvsd'(unknown) Virtualdub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatable codec to decompress video. Directshow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable. Only 'Direct Stream Copy' is available for this video."![]()
Ok, I'm ready to give up. But I remember the kind assurances of those here to write in and plead for help. So, the technologically impared lady is back to give you some headaches!!![]()
Thanks in advance!
Theresa
