Hi, I just got a New Panasonic VW VMS2 Microphone from ebay the other day,
and i was just outside and taped some stuff on the end of a tape before i put
it on dvd, just checking out the DVD the sound from the microphone is picking
up a lot of hum from the tape deck, is there any way the stop this, i try both
with low cut on, and stick the mic up and yes i also using the battery not AC .
Here a sample of the sound (VBR Mpeg2 Sound 192kps) 7mb
(DELETED FILE)

I have been having the sam pobelem with my video camera and a external mic. The best thing to do is not have the mic attached to the recording device, just have the lead in to the socket pluged in but hold the mic in your hands. Also if your having probelems with the wind cutting out the sound try getting a dead cat to go over the mic, they make a huge difference.
Live lightly, think deeply.
