    Hi all:

I've been creating my DVD with subtitles without any problems.

As I'm planning to buy a DVD player that supports DIVX i would like to see the best way to create an AVI movie with subtitles.

I've been trying with VirtualDubMode but I dont know how to do it.

I open the AVI file, then according to the guides I have to choose filters. This is my first problem.
There are so many that I dont know what to choose.
And even when I choose one I dont know what to do next ?

can you pls tell me an easier way to make the job ??

Is there another program to do that ??

many divx players supports external subs, you just name the sub like the video for example video.avi and video.srt or video.sub.

or use AviSub or Sub2DivX and add switchable subs to an avi that will work on most divx capable players.

I thought about Sub2Divx, however the programs asks me to instal 2 codecs, and I'm always carefull when installing new codecs that can cause conflicts.

Are those codecs safe to install and wont create any conflicts with the ones I have already installed ??
