    Anyone know if there's a way to go from Digital VHS to a file on the computer such as MPEG and back again? I'd like to figure out if there's a way to do so as a straight file transfer without have to use a capture card and reencode everything into MPEG. Are there any FAQs or articles out there on the subject or does anyone have any tips?

    Look to see if it has a firewire output. Than you can transfer it just like a dv camera.
