    You have to convert the files first, before they will work with any software.

    Run your .tivo file through Direct Show Dump Utility, which will convert it to mpeg. I just did this on a .tivo file that I transferred last night. I then loaded it into TDA and edited out the commericals. For me, Direct Show Dump Utility works like a charm.
