It looks fantastic watching to my telivision ported out but my vcr copy looks .......well to say the least CRAPY .

  2. you hooked your vcr to your tv then had the out put your computer to the Tv then recorded it rite?

well its prolly your vcr or the connection from the tv to the vcr man cause if your saying that it comes out clear from your computer to the TV

then your Video card is prolly not to blame. cause your vcr is only recording wats being displayed on the TV screen not from your computer.

all in all check your connections or dont use those old porn tapes to tape over man

is your tv PAL? is your card putting out NTSC.. or visa versa? If you have a stand alone dvd player that can play it then hook your vcr up to it and it will record it just fine. the vcd shouldnt be macrovision protected since you made it.

  4. No sorry for the misunderstanding ,,,, here's my hookup
AIW is hooked up to the VCR via composite
VCR is hooked to the T.V. via coaxial
When I play the reunion the picture I see through the T.V.
is great and that's going to AIW -- VCR -- T.V.
But when I record the reunion (AIW--VCR--T.V.)while recording the picture on t.v. is great but the recording comes out Black-n-White and Wavy ..
It feels like a protection of some sort , but if that's the case why my family reunion ?? There's no copy protection on it !!!!!!!!!
Does AIW have a output via s-video/composite protection scheme ?? If so how can I override ..... this really suxs.
    .......................thanx for all help Bizarro

    Sorry shochan
I didn't see your post ,, everything I own is NTSC (US)
The VCD plays in my Phillips but it pixelated in some areas,
when I play it on my computer and scart it to tv I don't see
the pixelaton as bad (i think it cause of the filters ASUS DVD uses )so I'm trying to go this rout for quality issues..

  6. it looks like the problem is with your vhs. You might want to check connections and make sure everything is ntsc. You can record other things off of the vhs right?

  7. My VCR is fine , I just recorded rufnecks (starship troopers) and the quality is GREAT ....use my satellite as source.....
It's just when I hook up the AIW to my VCR I get the Black-n-White crap and it looks wavy
I know the reunion is good quality , I watched the whole thing on my computer.. So why is my AIW output giving this crapy quality ???
I hope somebody knows the solution soon . I was supposed to ship these VHS tapes to family members like yesterday..

Yes.......It's a problem with your VCR.

You probably have the wrong input source selected for recording (on your VCR). Are you using front inputs on your VCR from your computer? Does your VCR have more than 1 input signal line?

Maybe check these out.......hope it works.
