This topic has probably been covered alread, but I can't locate it. Here it goes: which dvd format is better (at least in quality) for archiving video programs and authoring home movies?
I read somewhere on the web that +R was better. I've been using ithis format for the past 2 years. But I've notice on forums @ videohelp that a few people refer to -R as the format of choice.
Thanks.

Some people choose to jump off land bridges without any safety gear. I choose not to. The same can be said of DVD media. You choose which is appropriate for you. Some people won't use discs Made in Japan while other choose to use discs only made in Japan. It's a choice. Neither +R or -R is better. Neither has greater compatibility. Neither has better burn strategies and neither is cheaper. It's your choice what you use. Use what works for you and fits the criteria for your purchase.Originally Posted by obender79
