  1. Is it possible to repair asf files. Cause I try to convert them to mpg so I can make them a vcd. But for some reason it gets to the fist fram on quite a few of the episodes and it locks up right there. But I can watch the asf with no problem. Maybe I am doing something wrong here. But can someone help me with this? Thanks to any that can.

I remember the same thing happened to me a while back.

First, try opening the file with VirtualDub 1.3c. It must be version 1.3c (get it on the tools page: http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcdtools.htm).
If it loads up, try saving it as an AVI and then converting to MPEG with TMPGEnc. You might also have to save the wave file of the ASF in VirtualDub and use that wave as the audio source in TMPGEnc.

If the ASF messes up while opening in VirtualDub, get ASFTools, which is also on the tools page. As I remember, load up your ASF and click repair. Check the repaired file in Media Player or whatever for frame skips and out-of-sync audio. Try the fixed ASF in TMPGEnc. If that doesn't work, try the above approach with the fixed ASF.
