Hi, This is the first time I want to try HC but the programs still crash and I don't Know why.
Here is how It's configured:
The log file only contains:
and my avs script:Code:--------------------------------------------- | HCbatch - MPEG2 encoder - rel. 0.16A beta | --------------------------------------------- input: c:\hc016\scripts\clip.avs output: c:\hc016\scripts\jem.m2v -------------------- | encoder settings | -------------------- profile: NORMAL frames: 1 4946 framerate: 25.00 aspect ratio: 4:3 bitrate Kb/s: 5000 max. bitrate Kb/s: 8000 closed gops: no VBV check: yes scene change det.: yes interlaced: yes, TFF goplen,B-pic: AUTO dc_precision: 9 scan method: ALTERNATE bias: 0 chapter frames: 0 time code: 0 0 0 0 CPU: MMX/ISSE matrix: HVSBETTER -------------------- | source stats | -------------------- nr. of frames in source: 4946 width*height: 720*576 fps: 25.00 nr. of frames to encode: 4946 frames to encode: 1 - 4946 --------------------- | encoding - pass 1 | ---------------------
The avs works in virtualdub.Code:loadplugin("c:\program files\multimedia\avisynth 2.5\plugins\DGDecode.dll") mpeg2source("c:\hc016\scripts\clip.d2v") Msmooth(highq=true)
When I click on encode, I saw a process dww????? (or something like that) which takes more and more ram and then HC crash (when dww is at about 130 MB RAM) with a report created by windows asking if I want to send it to Microsoft.
Why does the encoder crash ?????

I think you will get more answers at http://forum.doom9.org under "Other MPEG1/2 encoder". I got help there.

Are your computer specs up to date? It seems a little under powered. Possibly running out of harddrive space? I don't use HC but I've never heard of this problem from anyone that does, so I suspect a resource problem.

Could very well be mistaken here (?), but doesn't a ".d2v" file require an "AviSource" command rather than "Mpeg2Source"? (Sorry, just a bit rushed right now...)

DVD rebuilder uses it and it works fine (very good), maybe you could look at some of the setting it uses. Also the DGDecode.dll that is optimized for hyper threading makes it much faster a big difference.
