Currently, where's a good place to buy these in batches of 100?

The prices (and the shipping!) seem to vary all over the place. I've looked at Rima, Supermediastore, Meritline, and Amazon online and Office Depot & Staples locally. No luck locally (OOS) and the shipping costs online are almost all uniformly obscene.

    Any special place to look?

    TIA!

SAMS club is nice on 100 cases. Newegg isn't bad, but shipping kind of offsets. Office Max has them and has specials.
    Check local office supply stores.

If you have a dollar store near you I'd check there as well. I've picked up both 10 packs and 25 packs for $1.

I've had pretty good success with the KyperMedia ones at BigLots. :P

No biglots here, but I have been in those stores. Great deals on all types of things. I picked up optical mice for $2 a piece. I couldn't resist and bought a box full. I build systems for people so any cost cutting measure that doesn't effect system ability is worth it. Big Lots is all right IMO.

Thanks. I'll have to check Staples & Office Max. The problem in my area, though, is that everytime one of these places runs a special, there's never any stock on hand.

Get a raincheck or order them online if it's not an in store sale. sometimes these sales are first come first serve and don't allow rainchecks. Office Max and Office Depot regularly don't allow rainchecks but you can often get them for Staples merchandise even stuff that's on sale.

I love these MAXELL Double-disc slim cases. They are cool looking and high-quality too.

Thanks for the additional leads. I'm still looking/waiting for a "deal".

I like the multi-colored ones, and I've bought some from Rima in the past... the price is right at $12/100 but the shipping is almost that much. Still, at around $19 landed, it's the best I've found so far.

I don't expect there'll be many specials on these before the holidays... maybe in January.

You could keep checking back at OfficeMax. Their 'Buy 1, Get 1 Free' offer on their house brand cases is in their Sunday ad every other week, like clockwork.

They're not the greatest quality-wise, but sufficient. I believe they're Belkin rebrands. OfficeMax stopped carrying the Belkins when they started offering their house band, and the packaging and the cases themselves are virtually identical.

If you're a Sams' member, though, the multi-color Memorex cases mentioned earlier are the same price for 100 and seem a bit sturdier to me.

Those are pretty nice (Walmart sells them in 5-packs and 25-packs).... I have a few.

The only downside to that design is that you either have to put the frontside disc in backwards (to be able to see what's in the case), or apply a label to the outside of the case.

I will. OfficeMax is a good idea.

We just never got around to getting a Sam's membership.

The Rima ones are quite sufficient for me, but I really don't know who makes them or how to tell.

This is not a great big deal, but I hate to overpay for anything.

  14. The prices may or may not be as good as elsewhere, however I've ordered twice now and had good results.

    http://www.genesysdtp.com/index.htm?jewelcasemenu.htm

I ordered yesterday morning and this morning they've arrived.

    Last order had 10 each 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 DVD boxes.

    This order I ordered 1, 2, 4, 5 DVD boxes as I still had some of the 6, 8, & 10 boxes left.

What I like is the way the DVDs are held in the case. They release very easily. Hving tried Staples cases where they were very hard to release the disc, In fact I ruined one disc, it delaminated trying to get it out. I dumped the rest of those in fact.

I hate to overpay for things but quality pays too. they have slim line cases and jewel cases too.

FWIW they also have jewel cases that hold 1, 2, 3, 4, or 6 CDs.

    Cheers

Thats no big deal. I myself just label the cases with unused leftover stuff from VHS ,floppy disc labels, etc.

  16. If you have a Microcenter near you they are selling 100 slim line cases for $9.99.
