Ripping music video off dvd

I am very new to this. I would like to only rip the music video off the dvd and play it in windows media player on my pc. I have tried various programs without sucess. Help Please.

2 part question.

1) How to only rip 1 part of a dvd
2) How to play a movie with WMP

What you need ??
a. A software DVD player like winDVD or PowerDVD (Check Tools at left)
b. A Rippn Program like smart ripper (Check Tools at left)

1) Sorry but I don't know how to know which vob file to rip.
You can however look at the DVD and rip just 1 VOB file at a time. Then
play them with your software DVD player. Hint: The music video VOB
would be smaller than the movie VOB file(s).

2) Wow, if you got here, you can already play the video with your software player.
And for some circular talk, i believe you need to have a software player
installed to play a MPEG2(vob) file with WMP.

Actually "How to play a DVD, MPEG2" under HowTo Play at the left told
me this info, so don't blame me if it's wrong. Unfortunately, If you dont'
want to install a software DVD player, you would have to convert the
MPEG2 file to an MPEG1 file to play it with WMP. That should be covered
under howTo Convert at the left.
