    My cable company doesn't want to give me another dvr (I have one). So I figure I'll use a spare comp I have here for one, fine with me, I just need to get a tv tuner card. However - all the software I've seen for these things says something like ~100 channels. I'd like to possibly grab things much higher (sports packages and such). Is there any software out there that does this?

    You need a second cable box from the cable company and then analog record (capture) off the S-Video.
