Not sure if this belongs here...but ever since I installed the Nero bundle (OEM Suite) that came with my new benq DVD writer, I have been having problems with my Cyberlink Power Director and Ulead studio 8 programs. Anyone experience this before? Is there something I can do to fix it, besides the obvious removing nero from my computer?

I don't know if this will help your problem, however I have a Benq and had a similar problem with Nero and my Ulead Movie Factory.
In my case for whatever reason it had to do with the INCD that I had inadvertently installed as I don't need it.
Then when i went to uninstall it I had a heck of a time! It took me several goes at it and finally a Techie friend came over and helpe me.
Then I did a Reg Supreme clean and everything started working fine.
Just thought that I would post what experience I had with my OEM Nero that came with my BenQ and what occurred with one of my other proggys.
One thing I must say is I love my BenQ Burner and the Book Management proggy that is on their web site and I use the exe. to burn in DVD ROM all of the time and all my backups can play on all 6 family standalone players in our family.
And of course I check the Web site out frequently for firmware upgrades.
Their phone support is very good for BenQ related issues, it is in Irvine California and thus PST time 8 am - 6 pm Monday thru Friday.
I don't know if they would be able to help with this issue as it sounds more like Software conflicts, and it was my Techie friend that alerted me to the INCD issues from Nero that he had encountered in the past in his work and so that is why i started there with removing it.
Anyway the number for BenQ in California PST is 1-866-600-2367.
I hope some of this may help you.
    Cheers and good luck!!!

Gee Thanks for you help. I will start by uninstalling the INCD which I too installed b/c it was on the disc. I'll check out the book managament proggy on their website. Thanks for their phone number. My benq came only with a Nero disc, no installation disc, no set of instructions..nothing. So their number will definetly come in handy. Thanks again.
    Cheers

There was another post for a similar issue with DVD playback using WinDVD after installing Nero. I would expect during the Nero install, registry settings or codecs are becoming corrupt. You could try reinstalling the programs that no longer work properly and/or install Nero without the built in media player.
