  1. Hi, I use Ulead Disc Creator 3 & for some odd reason when I copy a store bought DVD to a DVD+RW via 1 Click DVD Copy, I'm allowed to edit it's contents in ULead's "Edit disc" screen but when I burn something on to a +RW from my old VHS and try to "Edit disc" on ULead, the option for "Multi trimming" is grayed out in the "Edit disc" section (same thing when I copy stuff from the TV DVD Recorder burnt disc to a +RW via 1 Click...). I can't copy the discs straight from ULead because I get the message saying the contents are too big. I use ULead because that's one of the few programs I can find that uses the screen resolution low enough for my monitor & I haven't needed to change file formats or worry about synching problems when doing this via ULead.

Anyways, can someone tell me what I need to do in order to edit discs on ULead after putting the VHS stuff on to the +RW's on my TV DVD recorder? My TV DVD recorder automatically finalizes the +RW's when done burning & I've tried -RW's finalized & Unfinalized on ULead and those won't load on ULead in either case so that's why I'm trying the +RW's. I just want to cut out commercials. Thanks in advance.

If the editor is the same one in VideoStudio X.0, then it sucks bigtime! The rest of the program is very good, but the editor is poor. I use VideoRedo and it is far superior to Ulead's editor.

When you say "store bought DVD" do you mean a Commercial movie??

If you do then you should know that 99% of the movies released on DVD are copy protected and will not be copied by any of Ulead's products or any other commercial product.

  4. Yeah, that's what I meant. 1 Click came with DVD4Free which gets around the copy protection, that's why I think it's odd that I CAN edit movies on ULead (after going through 1 Click & DVD 4Free of course) but not stuff I tape/burn off TV. Thanks for the Video ReDo tip though, I'll check it out.

  5. OK, I've D/L'ed it & opened a DVD on it. Now when I choose the first file, it only covers the first 20 minutes of the 2 hour show. Should I just ignore the fact that it's separated it in to 5 or 6 files and edit each one, add chapters and then assume they'll all run together on the finished disc? ...or do I need to merge the 6 files before editing/chaptering? I know this sounds so basic that it's probably covered by one of the write ups on the site but there are so many there that I was hoping I could get some "...for dummies" help on this here since I don't know which one specifically would be the one I'd need). Thanks in advance.
