I am capturing video8 tape with Pinnacle Studio Deluxe. I'm burning the VCD's with Nero. I've tried many combinations of resolutions and bitrates, but the VCD's look "blocky" (if that makes sense to anyone) The mpeg1 files look fine played on a small screen on my computer, but when viewed full screen or on my TV, they look awful. Any help would be appreciated. BTW, I've tried doing the encoding with TMPGE, but no help. Thx.

Everyhting looks good on a small screen! When you blow it up to full screen (try it on your PC), you will see all the artifacts and blocks. Only way to reduce them is to make a higher resolution video, like SVCD or DVD.

I forgot to mention, I'm playing the VCD's on a Panasonic RV-31. I've read there are ways to make a SVCD or XVCD to work with the RV-31, but so far, I haven't done it correctly...
