  1. When converting a video file to a mpg2 dvd file format using tmpgenc
    i have different video type choice
    And i dont know which one i should choose

    1:1 vga
    4:3 525 line (NTSC)
    4:3 525 line (NTSC, 704x480)
    16:9 525 line (NTSC)
    4:3 display
    16:9 display
    2 11:1 display

    can anyone help me with this choice
    which one would look the best on a 4:3 tv and could also been play correctly on a 16:9 tv

    what is the source resolution ? if it is full screen (1.33 - 1.66) then you are better off keeping it 4:3 704 x 480 (or 720 x 480) and letting your TV pillarbox it on playback. If it is widescreen and the source quality and resolution is high enough, 16:9
