TV Pet Peeves - Back to back commercials

Hi,

I don't really like watching commercials but what I hate most is having the same commercial played back to back. Or worse yet a string of commercials for the same product.

That is just like hitting you over the head with it and makes you dislike the ;company.

Two things really burn me about commercials:

First is when you have to sit through 6 or 7 at the theatre - I don't mind reviews (in fact I kinda like them) - but when you're paying something like $40 for two the commercials really piss me off.

Second is how in the last 30 minutes of a tv program you may have well over 20 minutes of commercials.

If its the exact same commercial played back to back, then I think 99% of the time its the broadcaster making a mistake. It wouldn't make any sense to buy two spots back to back.

This past Sunday morning I wanted to go to my UPN affiliate and strangle somebody. They showed the EXACT SAME block of commercials at every single break for 3 hours solid.

Exactly, especially on the Spike channel....like i give a crock about a goofy looking dufus and his ugly wife lol.

Commercials annoy me, thats why when I record something I want to see, I cut those commercials because I like watching things commercial free, continuous and uninterrupted.
