Anyone know anything about these? They have both the silver and white tops for the same price. Here's a pic of the white tops:

i got a 50 pack of maxell printable (to the hub) 8x dvd-r's for $17.99 from office depot a month or so ago.. they were also japanese made.. i think the media code was MXGL something.. too bad, i dont have a printer.. it just looked like good media, it's getting the sharpie treatment.

That is as maybe, but I haven't found them to be all that good when it comes to reading the data back off them. Writing to a disc is only half the story - it's still a bloody coaster if you can't read / play the disc on your target device.
It might be worth looking at the media and player guides to the left and see what other people with your hardware think of them if you're worried about comitting to buying such a quantity.
