Hi all,

I'm using a firewire connection (via my Audigy soundblaster) to capture movies from my sony trv-20 in Adobe Premiere. Everything works fine when I play them on my computer... BUT...

I'm trying to convert video I captured from my camera to divx or mpeg. The problem is, that the capture from the camera is a MS DV Video avi. When I try to encode it to DiVX with VirtualDub or vidomi, I get an error message, stating that I need to have a VFW-avi file to start with.
Same problem exists when I try to convert the file with TMPGenc into mpeg.

So my question is, how do I convert my DV movies into DiVX??? (or mpeg).
The main concern is to keep the quality as good as possible.

PLEASE, any help is greatly appreciated,

TriHorn
