    Ok here it goes:

1st I downloaded a movie from my friend, when i finished them, it was in a .rar form. i extracted the bin/cue and then used cdrwin to burn it out. I put in the cd and it burned out successfully. then when i looked to see if anything was written on it, the computer says theres nothing on the cd at all, but the disc has been burned. can someone tell me whats wrong.

same thing happened to me with another movie accept i converted from Divx to Vcd using TMPGEnc i did everything that people told me. I burned out the cd and it seemed to be written on but when i put it in my cd rom nothing happened. and it said nothing on the disc, but its been written on. can someone please help me out and tell me what the problem is. if it is at all possible explain to me step by step how to do this?

  2. I doubt you are doing anything wrong, it sounds to me more like a problem with either the media itself, I suggest you check the media after you burned it with Nero to see if it thinks the CD is still empty.
the second option is, that the CD was simply not Finalized, and remained open and therefor no CD will read it.

This may or may not have a bearing on your problem. Recently, I used CloneCD to burn a copy of some of my files. I'm not taMS Excel documents that I had created and already had on a cd-r. I was just making a copy of the cd-r. Everything wnet ok, no error messages. Indeed the disk was written to. And it was closed properly upon completion of the copy. The only trouble was that nobody, not even myself, could read the copied disk. It was as though nothing was on the disk, but I could see that it was burned. This sounds like the same problem you are having. When I checked my ASPI layer with ASPI check, it reported an error. Now, I know that for the last few months this was working properly. I have no idea how the ASPI layer got corrupted. However, I just re-installed the layer and that solved my problem. Try it, see if it helps you.
