  1. Hi, I just made an mpg of Austin Powers that I want to burn to cd. The problem is that the file is too big. Its almost 1 gig. Is there a way to split in 2 to burn onto 2 different cds and have it play correctly? Or is there a way to encode the .vob files to make a smaller mpg. Also, the sound is much lower than the dvd. Is there a way to fix that too. Sorry for all the newbie questions. I used smartripper,DVD2avi, then Tnpgenc. It semed to work well.I could not get flaskmpg to work. Thanks.

  2. IF your using TMPEG then go to:
    "FILE"
    "MPEG TOOLS"
"MERGE & CUT" or "CUT & JOIN" (EITHER WILL WORK)
    1. "ADD" (ADD YOUR FILE)
    2. CLICK ON "EDIT" (MAKE SURE U HIGHLIGHT YOUR FILE CHOSEN)
    3. THEN BUT THIS ({) AT THE BEGGING
    4. NEXT GO TO A PARK WHERE IT EITHER FADES OF CHANGES SEENS, AT THAT MOMENT PUT THIS MARKER (}) THEN YOUR DONE WITH PART 1!!!
    5. CLICK "OK", NAME YOUR FILE NAME AND THE DIR.
    (AUSTIN POWERS (1OF2)
    6. AND LAST "RUN"
WALLA YOUR DONE WITH PART 1

FOR PART 2 DO THE SAME (YOUR MARKER SHOULD STILL BE THERE) BUT BACK TRACK 1 LITTLE FRAME AND "OK"
    7. NAME YOUR FILE NAME AND THE DIR.
    8. AND "RUN" (THIS ONE MIGHT TAKE A LITTLE LONGER BECAUSE IT HAS TO SEARCH FOR THE FRAME)

YOUR DONE JUST BURN USING NERO OR EZCD, YOU'LL BE WATCHING YOUR MOVIE IN NO TIME (ABOUT 10-15MIN FOR CUTTING A WHOLE MOVIE)

  3. Hey, thanks for the quick reply. Sounds easy enough. I will give it a try. I guess for the volume problem, I can manipulate the .wav file that I have for audio before I mix it with the video to make the mpeg. Any suggestion on a utility to increse the volume of a .wav file? Thanks.

Just click on EDIT here to the left for some guides how to cut/join video.

You can increase/normalize the volume with Cool Edit.
