  1. is there any other software that i can use to convert this vob file to a vcd/svcd because everytime i start up dvd2avi it loads the file for the conversion but as soon as i go to save project it keeps crashing and i cant go any further. Can someone suggest a different program to use in the place of dvd2avi or an older version that would maybe work for me ????? I really need some assistance in getting this file converted from vob to avi , I also have yasasoft vobtoavi but cant use it due to serial restraints on the software

Get the newer version of DVD2AVI. It's now called DGIndex.

Open the VOB up in VirtualDubMod, set the AVI compression you want (Video -> Compression) and then File -> Save as, making sure that "Full Processing Mode" is selected.

Oh, and a more relevant title is useful...
