is there any other software that i can use to convert this vob file to a vcd/svcd because everytime i start up dvd2avi it loads the file for the conversion but as soon as i go to save project it keeps crashing and i cant go any further. Can someone suggest a different program to use in the place of dvd2avi or an older version that would maybe work for me ????? I really need some assistance in getting this file converted from vob to avi , I also have yasasoft vobtoavi but cant use it due to serial restraints on the software

Open the VOB up in VirtualDubMod, set the AVI compression you want (Video -> Compression) and then File -> Save as, making sure that "Full Processing Mode" is selected.
