Does anyone have a media code? Both 8X -R and 8X +R are
    available.

    Link for the -R http://tinyurl.com/7u5s2

Picked up a spindle of the +R and they are made in Japan and read as YUDEN000T02 .

The -R that I saw were all made in Taiwan.

Just got back from the downtown Victoria FS.
I bought +R, which are TY Yuden 000-T02-000 here too. -R were made in Taiwan, and probably Ritek as Guncle suggests.

The +R TYs are the first 8X media to actually burn at 8X in my LG 4120B. Set the booktype to ROM.

  4. talk about unfairness. the +R users get the best, the -R users get crap. Futureshit and Best Lie lost my business for media, as I only have a -R burner.

It's not Futureshop or Best Buy's fault; they just supply what Fujifilm supplies them. I haven't heard of any of the 100 disc 8x DVD-R Fuji retail spindles being TYG02 anywhere.
