  1. Hi, is there any really high quality replacement ink for a R200, I would use it for photos and high quality prints, etc... IS there anything that I could buy for less with the same quality or almost the same as the oem.
I am in Canada, or do you know of a place where I can buy oem epson ink for cheap, the cheapest I have seen is a complete se for $90.00 at costco.
    Thanks guys...

Here are a couple of places I've been happy with:

I use the ink for DVDs mostly, but also photos. I find I get the best photo results using the clunky Epson PhotoQuicker software that comes with the R200/300, and and selecting Best Quality. Paper quality is important, too. Pictures look great.

Meritline's Epson compatible ink is G&G brand. The regular price is $35.99 (US) for a seven-pack (1 of each color and two black). Every other month or so they'll have the pack on sale for $10 to $20 off with free shipping. Unfortunately, free shipping is for Continental US only.

Shipping costs may be the killer for Canadian customers.

The first set I ordered from Megatoners produced great looking inkjet-printable DVDs. With my second order from Megatoners about 3 months later, the blacks looked very dull & I was not happy with the results. It looked like Megatoners changed sources for their black ink because the ink boxes looked different than before.

    Thanks,

  11. megatoners stinks. The first time I ordered which was 2 weeks ago, it took forever to arrive, and once it finally arrived the pictures looked really really dull...To me the ink sucks....I've purchased some ink from rima.com and it worked pretty good.

Yeah, something's up with the Megatoners stuff. I just bought a complete set for $15.00 and free shipping. But the boxes used to be green, and now they're red and white. And if you look at the "Use by" date on the bottom, they're over 2 years old! I haven't used them yet, but I'm not expecting great results.

  13. www.bulkinkjetcarts.com has very good stuff. the ink is close to oem, and their paper is very good too.

  14. thanks guys but I think you are forgetting that I am in Canada, and the CIS system is not very high quality ink, IMHO, compared to oem.
