Wow, looks like the NECs like these, VERY nice results at any price. You didn't buy any of the -R Compusa discs, by chance, did you? -
Nope...But I'm thinking about it, because they have a media Id that I've never gotten to test.

This is a KProbe of a disc burned @ 4x. The 8x burn actually came out superior...but still, it scans well at 4x...(the 8x disc, I have now watched fully through on my DVD player, and it plays withotu flaw).

i bought the +r 100pk today, and they are the crappy AML001
maybe if i was a better forum member, i would have gotten the better discs? :P -
What did the packs you bought look like? Mine came with a white bottom, and the discs are a reflective yellow color.
In make, the discs feel lighter than most, almost thinner etc...dont know if that's really true or not, but they definately feel lighter.
On the top of the disc, printed backwards (not just backwards as in, last letter first, but backwards as in the letters are backwards, as well).. "DVD+R 2 4.7 GB V1.2 R20 M 04080803" Look at that in a mirror and you'll see what's on the discs.
Then, in smaller letters an odd L (like L- without the space between the L and -...actualy touching.), then an odd symbol, almost like a wierd 3, then M(the wierd 3 again) S2. So L3M3S2, but with teh 3's and L as described above.
