Hi I have a few questions to ask as i cant seem to find anything on the net so far and need a helpful response.

I am making a dvd menu of someone in a 1st person perspective moving photos on a table with video in each photo. I am using the green screen technique..

I am not familiar with the tools to use on this project but have managed to make a 7 second film of my final goal.

I would like to know what do I use to to change the angle of the photo when the person lifts the photo up to look at it. I would like to use keyframing and have managed to rotate the video.

can anyone point me to some tutorials about moving video clips and the greenscreen tools that adobe premiere pro 1.5 uses.

hope you understand what i am asking

    Thanks in advance

    Jason

    Hi jasonrhl,

    Welcome to the forums

Check out the tutorials at www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial - Even the ones for Premiere 6.0 and 6.5 as these will (should) be applicable to Pro 1.5 too.

There is a very useful filter that will probably do the job for you, it's the "Transform" filter. There's one in the Premiere 6.0 list that is called "4 Way Pip" - I'm sure that uses the "Transform" filter.

I believe (from memory, and not having used it much) that it can adjust height, width, position and skew all by keyframes - that'll probably be enough to suit your needs.

    Hope that helps. Good luck...

    man that was fast.

Yeh I got some of the wriley video tutorials and they were great. But alot has changed and it was hard to find and navigate on premiere pro to the correct tools. guess i will go to the book store and see what they have.

cheers for the transform tool tip.

I know you're in Aus, but these books should be available over here too:

    www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/002-7945101-1566419

I've previously bought the Visual QuickPro book for Premiere 6.0 (see item 6) and found that really useful at a newbie / intermediate level.

The book at the top of the list sounds excellent, but not sure how skilled (or patient) you need to be...

I made a video tutorial on that and it is on my site free. It answers your question. And yes the transform tool is what you need, it is in the tab marked Effects, it should be bundled with the project window, click the effects tab and the transform filter is in the Video Effects > Distort > Transform. Drop the filter on the video and the effects controls are in the next window over, click the Effects Controls tab, the expand the transform arrow. My video covers this really nice and also how to add keyframs to change the image around.
