Burning question

Ok, well i did all the steps on this site to make a vcd. i burned just a small file on a cd and it worked but when i put it in my dvd player, it says " will not read this type of disk. also when i open up say "my computer" and look at the contents on this vcd i just made, i can't find where that file is. On my dvd player is says it reads video cd so i dont know what the problem is..

Do you know if y our DVD player can play CD-R's? Try putting a burned audio disc in the DVD player and see if it works. I had a Sony that said it played VCD's, but it wouldn't read a burned disc. Got an Apex, and that reads anything.

ive got a sony that will only play vcd if it is burned on a cd-rw.the write up says that it will also work with princo silver cd-r.still got to try those yet.
