    Hi,

Have been noticing more and more DVD players that claim to support DIVX decoding on the market. I havent got one at the mo, but would like to burn my videos to "DIVX Dvd" so that they will be compatible in the future (instead of just burning data dvds with DIVX avi files on em). Does anyone know what format these "Divx DVDs" use and whether any software is around to burn DVDs with Divx encoded video (plus will i be able to play them back on the PC, i assume so? and do the players support Xvid or just the commercial Divx?).
    Thanks

Check so the video is divx certified, http://www.divx.com/certified/

No "divx authoring standard" yet. The DivX fusion might become the divx authoring standard, http://labs.divx.com/

Many divx players supports xvid also.
