Well, I'll give my two cents in and say get a Maudio Revoltion 5.1 Sound Card.

Yes, thats right, I won't recomend buying a Creative Sound Card like the Audigy 2 ZS.

I don't care for Creative's bloated drivers and I never had much luck with there Signal To Noise Ratios for audio capturing.

The Revolution 5.1 comes with a Digtial Coaxial Plug build right into the card, and I found it very easy to hook up to a Dolby Digital Home Theater System I had.

Well, I do recommened the Audigy 2 ZS card or the Audigy 4. Every sound card has its advantages and disadvantages.

I personally own a Audigy 2 Platinum and must say, it is a decent sound card. You're likely to get mixed responses in this thread. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

i have had a audigy 2 for 2 years & it is only in the last six months i can get the thing to run stable , i used it with 3 different pentium boards for the first 1 & a half years (gigabyte 845pe , gigabyte 865 & abit max 3 875) & the computer would randomly crash , changed to athlon 64 6 months ago , first abit kv8 pro for socket 754 , then to msi neo 2 platinum for 939 & the audigy 2 has never crashed on either computer.

i agree with dpick the software & drivers are complete bloatware but if you can get the card to run stable it is very quality sound.
