I have a Dazzle DVC USB and v3.62 of its software.
I am capturing live TV using its own VCD Template and then burning them to CD (No modifications to the file apart from dazzles own cut and join option)
The Final result plays back on the PC but will not play back on a standalone DVD player. On the Pioneer DV-636D Standalone player there is no video, but the sound plays for about 5 seconds then carries on looping.
I use verbatim CDR's and CDRW
I have tried multiple burning programs (Nero, EASY CD, WinonCD). All these programs inform me that the clip is VCD compliant. (EASY CD CREATOR v4>'s diagnostic clip shows an explanation mark next to the clock reference.
I have tried to re-encode the entire clip using TMPGENCs VCD TEMPLATE and MEDIASTUDIO PRO 6 but still no problem (The clock reference error no longer appears after I use Mediastudio)
I have even tried de-multiplexing the captured clip and re-multiplexing using TMPGENCs Video CD Template.
I have even used VCDGEAR to ripp a track from my custom made cd and do the above.
Still no luck.
I've contacted DAZZLE and they inform me that the VCD TEMPLATE in v3.62 should produce compliant files. Do they ever try their software?
Help.
Mohammed

Perhaps if you mention which standalone DVD player you're trying this on we could help.

try nero. convert the mpg file to an irg (image file) first. from the image file, burn it to the cdr/cdrw. it helps greatly. try it and let me know.
