I'm using s/w now that has a great user interface, and does everything I need. One feature I like is the ability to burn without rendering. (If I capture with compatible parameters). But the deal breaker is that it has had audio sync problems for the last several releases. So, reluctantly I off to find other software.
Other products I've tried seem to rerender for no good reason at all. How does VideoWave 7 measure up in this respect? The comments on this site's tool page for VideoWave makes no mention of this.

Not sure if you're still looking around, but I've found Videowave 7 to be great. 8)
I was using Videowave since 3.01 that came with my old writer, heh. There are a few things I would like changed of course (no configurable noise filter - but the one it implements works fine), but overall it's working fine and no sync issues yet (used about 2 weeks so far). DVD Builder wll author your DVDs and has SVCD settings built-in. It supports 352x480 and other settings as long as your clips are dvd-compliant.. I'd like to see more settings - they are on many people's wish lists..
No problems so far though and the forum is just as helpful as this one
Hope that helps,
~Shad
