I guess they are making way for the 4X DVD+R DL media.

It was posted yesterday, AND it's a pricing error - only eligible for one of the two rebates, not both. You MIGHT be able to have Amazon.com credit your account $8, but I doubt it. So they're really $14 after rebate.
-
That doesn't even make any sense. It shows the same $8 rebate forum TWICE ... which is only $8 ... not $16. No thanks, I'm not going to get screwed.

No kidding.....When you read the rebates, both say that they need the ORIGINAL UPC code from package. Package only has 1 UPC code so how does that all work out? I recently bought 1 of these when it was $21.99 with 1 $8 rebate thus only $13.99 for the 3, sounded good, so bought them to test out new DL burner. I've contacted amazon to see how on earth you can use both of those rebates, but no response yet....will post if I get a response.....

I tried to order this deal on sat, found out today that both deals are not available anymore.

I never got any email from Amazon saying the order was cancelled. I went to Amazon's site as I hadn't received any confirmation and when I checked my order status it said no recent orders. Checked the cart and it said the media was no longer available from those vendors (I had added the 3 Memorex DL for $18 to the deal also).

Purchased 2 pks of these for $43.99 e-mailed amazon about that ridiculous $16 in rebates. Here is what they said and did for me....
Response from Amazon #1
Greetings from Amazon.com.
I have reviewed the rebate offers for the Verbatim 3 Pack 8.5GB
DVD+R Double Layer CDs with Jewel Case and found that at the time
your order was placed, there was a duplicate rebate listing. Please
allow me to apologize for any inconvenience this error has caused.
In regards to the additional $8.00, I've requested a refund of
$16.00 to your credit card to compensate for the second rebate. This
refund should go through within 2 to 3 business days and will appear
as a credit on your next credit card billing statement.
RESPONSE 2
Hello from Amazon.com.
We're writing to confirm that we have processed your refund for $16.00
for the above-referenced order.
So here is the deal. I bought 2pks Verbatim 3 Pack 8.5GB DVD+R Double Layer CDs with Jewel Case for $43.98/$21.99 each. They just gave me back $16 on creditcard (new total $27.98/13.99each). When items arrive I have 2 more $8 rebates to send in. Final total $11.98/$5.99each. That is just the shit.....
