  1. I am backing up my VCD collections. Some of them I used Nero to copy VCD toVCD. Some ofthem I used Isobuster and TMPGEnc DVD Author to backup 9 VCDs on a DVD.

I have some VCDs that Nero failed to copied because of errors. However I was able to use CloneCD to make a backup.
I have some VCDs that Isobuster failed read a sector and I had to ask Isobuster to ignore the sector in order to continue.

For these backups that had errors during the backup process, I play the back up on my DVD player to make sure that they are playable. In a lot of cases, I can see my DVD player took recovery action at the same spot of both the original and the backup.

But viewing these backups to make sure that they are playable is not very practical. It is too time consuming.
I am looking for any suggestion on if there is an easy way (using some software) to check to ensure that these backups are playable.

  4. Well isnt VCD an Mpeg 1 format. Thus if you encode into Mpeg I, or even II for that matter, your Windows Media Player will play it. But I see your point from letting Nero do it all in one deal. I suggest if you wanna see the video before pre-burn in vcd format is to encode it in a program like TMpeg or any Mpeg encoder, then view it in your favorite media player.
