Hi,
I'm attempting to import full capture movie clips into iMovie4 for editing and eventually to post on a web site. He mails them on DVDs. My desktop indicates .avi files and my friend says they are full capture video. He uses Pinnacle Studio 9. I am able to view his clips and they are of excellent quality. When I run them thru iMovie4 and export at all the various settings I get poor quality movies. Very choppy and blocky.
I am trying to make the finished movies in QT and Mpeg 2 so I can later make some DVDs for those interested.
I've heard that there is software to convert things around better so I don't loose any quality. Is this true? Can someone figure this out for me?
Slowly, step by step if possible. I also purchased encoding software for compressing after I get this quality issue resolved.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
P
