I just burned Spiderman 2 and it works perfectly fine on both of my panasonic stand alond dvd player. I'm pretty sure its not the media that I used (Verbatim 8x MCC) but my friends DVD players that may just be very picky? It froze for a quick second maybe 4 times through out the movie. Do you guys agree? Of is it the media? Thanks

Its your friends dvd player. It does not like that format.
I own a Toshiba SD4900, and it plays both formats +/-, but it does lock or freeze more on -R's, on +R's it's PeRfecT!!*New Mac user*, been PC user 4 life -
I've heard that the inner part of a blank dvd can only be burned at 4x. So since this disc was burned at 8x it did switch write speeds occasionaly starting from 4x for a couple min to 6x for a couple min then to 7.3x for a couple min then to 8.3x for a couple of min. Could the little freezing/studdering problems be to this? If so do u suggest to just burn the disc at 4x the whole time? Thank You

I would say it's more of a compatibility issue just as the second poster stated.
