I saw it. It seems to be heading in a good direction. One thing I didn't get though. Is it suppose to be a mystery which Boomer is real? I mean why would the cylons have let Boomer and that other guy just walk away like that?

Not a mystery which is real. But is boomer a cylon, or is the original and copied by the cylons. If so how? These questions will not last long BTW.

  6. Tough question. It twas long ago. I think it was at least 1 and 2. Possibly 3. I know the shadow war had been resolved. I also remember they ended it with this weird recap of the future episode.
Sounds like you saw part of season 4, since the shadow war was resolved part-way through there. The future episode you describe sounds like the last one in Season 4, where they look back on the events at B5 from 10 years, 100 years, 1000 years, and 1000000 years later. Season 5 would definitely be worth looking into, not as much action as the previous seasons but it has alot of character development, and Sleeping In Light is great.

Reimaging. Not a spinoff. The old battlestar was chunked in the trash when they made this one.

    Hello,

Ahh.... Reimagining is worse because it doesn't have to respect the original series at all....

    Hello,

Well I guess if you enjoy it then that's all that matters

    Kevin

(just like I like the prequels much more than most people here seem too.....)

So Galactica 1980 did a better job respecting the original? If the show was a continuation I probably wouldn't watch. The original was so...lame in my eyes. I tried watching it again and I almost died of bordem.

    Hello,

I was never really into battlestar gallactica.

Like I said if you like the new ones then that's all that really matters. No one can change the fact that I enjoy the PREQUELS more than most people seem too. So I will be waiting for Episode 3 to be released and won't care what anyone else thinks :P

    Hello,

    Sounds like it.....

If it doesn't hit at least 10 episodes I would imagine that its 86'd.....

Most seasons consist of at least 20 episodes as far as I know...

    Kevin

(I just saw that MACGYVER comes out on dvd tuesday! COOL don't think I'll buy it right away but it's neat all the old shows are making it out - is PERFECT STRANGERS going to get a dvd treatment????)

Sorry to hear that - I couldn't get into the miniseries that played on NBC but if others liked it sorry it's seem to have hit a dead end...

That is all the scifi channel ordered. They are the ones paying for most of it afterall. The reason the season is so short is probably dur to the amount of money SciFi invested in Stargate and The Peacekeeper Wars, which went into production around the same time. Scifi has already ordered four more scripts in case of a second season. Don't expect anything until the US airs some more epsidodes wso the ratings can be evaluated.
This plan is so bad, it must be one of ours.

It was Scifi, I think NBC, and skyone cable who footed the bill for 13 episodes. Its been a risky and expensive endevor, just look at the overall quality of actors they have. Heck they have actual names in that thing!

On skyone its being called a finale because they will not likely have first air rights if more are made so they realize it might be a long while until they get to air season 2. Better to call it the end and a while later say "You demanded it so you got it! More Battlestar!"

The existence of season 2 now depends on how well it does here in the US. So watch that sucker!

And yeah they would rather have 13 quality episodes then 13 good ones and some filler they banged out with what was left of the budget. I tend to agree.

I saw SG1 and taped BG and Atlantis, have to watch them later. SG1 was great, just a great way to bring in the 2nd half of the season, I won't go into detail so as not to spoil it for the rest of you. Very good though... I wonder why Daniel isn't in the promo commercials? Anyway it looks to be a great season!

  28. SG-1 was good. I was a bit board with Atlantis. I'm about to watch Galactica right now. Anyonw see Enterprise? I thought it was ok. It reminded me a lot of an episode of Voyager. At least Hoshi and Travis got some screen time.

Saw Atlantis for the first time on friday. Was not impressed at all. SG1 I've liked from when it was owned by showtime. (pretty sure it was showtime) Back when they had to edit the first episode to show it on TV.
