So I got a little extra money over my time off by doing some side work. Had about $200. Couldn't decide between more ram or saving a bit more for a video card. So indead I got a Nintendo DS. This is my tale of stupid woe.

They can be kinda hard to find in the area but I got lucky and hit a Gamestop right before their friday shipment. Waited 20mins (playing the guy who works the places DS, he was cool) when UPS arrives.

With my wallet $200 lighter I leave the store with my Nintendo DS and Super Mario 64 DS, a game that I wasn't really into but right now the selection is limited and the mini games in it are a blast.

Day 1: Play for a few min, then have to get ready for my night shift. Can't sleep, played more DS. Stupid thing. Wake up tried goto work with my DS and play a little more.

Lunch time comes goto IHOP for the Caramel and Apple stuff Pancakes (special right now, so VERY GOOD), play DS there in the smoking section. Done eating so I head back to work... I FORGOT MY STYLUS!!!!! The people who clear the tables barely speak english, but they manage to figure out that it was indeed thrown away, no biggie... it came with 2!

Day 2: Get home, play a little more. Hit some World of Warcraft before bed. Stay up about 2 hours later then I should again, 1 hour because of WoW and one because I just couldn't get to sleep.

Goto work that night. People are starting to notice my DS, co works thinks its pretty sweet. I tend to agree, even if it is starting ot hurt my thumbs worse then my Gameboy SP ever did.

Lunch time. Back to IHOP for a burger this time. Burger is good, fr's are good. Goto leave, double check that I do indeed have my stylus, yup there it is! Nice. Assistant manager is there (when you work nights you have few eating options so you know these things) at the checkout. Ask him "hey did anyone find one of 'these' at a table last night" Waving my stylus. He like I figured explains it was likely thrown away when the table was cleared. No biggie.

get back to work... co work teases me. "So did you remember your stylus this time?" "SURE! " I proclaim flipping my DS around as I stare at an empty Stylus hole. "DAMN IT ALL!" Call up, he says he thought I took it with me, didn't see one on the counter.

Tomorrow I goto a game store to buy new stylus, 48 hours 2 stylus. Damn.

Just make sure you place it in a "safe" place on your belt.

Na, dont wear a belt. I got this plan to somehow attach a stylus to a cable and put the cable ont he wrist strap latch on the top of the unit.

    Hello,

Sure it sounds like it can be annoying I would imagine but I saw in the Best Buy ad the other week a pack of like 5 stylus' for $5 so it won't be hard to replace it.

Stylus? Sounds like the item you use for a record turntable....these newer game systems are getting more complicated by the year. WHat exactly is the stylus used for?

    Hello,

Some games use it for targeting. Beyond that I don't know.
