My tests were always okay, and I just used 50 of these in the past 2 days with no flaw (the only coaster was my fault). I had the Fuji-branded 25 packs from Best Buy (made in Taiwan, PRODISCF01).

I am using a LG 4120, burning the F01 media at 8x, and I have had great luck so far. I just finished off my 4th 50pc spindle, and I've only discarded 2 discs. Those particular discs were on the bottom of the spindle; the discs looked too marked up for my taste so I tossed them without attempting to burn. I had previously been burning Verbatim 8x MCC02RG20 (200 pieces of them as well), but switched to Prodisc because of the price.

If your drive likes this media, it seems to be pretty reliable and consistent. Seems like some drives + this media = coaster city. This is definitely one of those cases where YMMV.

  4. As espaeth said, "Coaster City" for me on a Pioneer 108. The first 20 were fine. Out of the next 80, I got about 10 good burns. Personally I won't touch them again until I'm sure they are mor reliable.
