    I think it's in case they think you are trying to rip them off by sending non media the most inexpensive way possible.

    That's wierd.... The prices on the media mail shipping at my post office are more expensive than priority mail.... at least that's what they have on their signs.

    I always thought media mail was supposed to be cheaper, maybe they just screwed up their signage.... but it's been posted that way for at least a year now.... might have to ask them next time I'm in there...AFTER Christmas holiday is done!
