Hi all
Hopefully these are fairly simple questions!
I am considering buying DVD recorder. As I have lots of vhs tapes I would like to back them/copy them to DVD.
First is an obvious question - Is it possible to connect most home VCRs to most DVD Recorders so the tape can be copied?
Is that is possible, is there much loss of quality?
Can the resulting DVD then be worked upon - ie, encoding, adding menus etc with standard PC software so it can played on a home DVD player.
I would appreciated any advice!
Cheers

Yes it is possible, but if they are retail vhs tapes you might have to remove macrovision..... Have a look in the dvd recorder forum for more info.
Looking at getting a stand alone combined vhs/dvd recorder myself as it will make life less complicated in the connection dept...Not bothered by small problems...
