    Hello,
I have a copy of Adobe Photoshop on my computer that came with it when I purchased it. I can't seem to find the application recovery disk, and I'd like to install Photoshop on another computer. Is there a way to copy all the files on to a CD and actually have the program work on another computer? I'd need to copy the registry info too (I think), which is what I don't know how to do.

    Thank you

If it came with the PC it's no doubt Photoshop LE and not the full version, which retails for about $600.

I don't think an installation can be reversed to put the files back on CD, like what you're suggesting. I've never heard of anyone trying it.

If you are able to do that, I'd like to hear how you did it. I think that would come in handy if the original CD ever got lost or damaged

But ...I think for copyright reasons, you probably can't do it. Otherwise you could install it and back out the files over and over, bypassing the copy protection by doing that.

Sucks, I had a thought to look for software very like this recently.

My mom plays an online casio (free mode, not for cash) and hangs out with friends there, but the new version of the software no longer lets them keep their names and the old version still works fine.

I'm upgrading her soon and for the life of me can't figure out a way to ensure she still has the old version.

Do you know the name of this software?

  6. Sorry I can't remember the name- some three years ago I saw a demo by accident. It was MS in-house
and it knew major software so you could swap programs back
and forth without install cd's. It also had a neat learning
feature that tracked the registry etc for unknown software.
I doubt that it would work for your game and I seriously
doubt that you could obtain a copy.

If your mom's game used install shield you could
maybe hack the uninstall file. A lot of older onlne
    stuff was pretty simple.
