    I'm trying to upgrade my Philips 751 with the 7.12 file. The read me file says to use mode 2 cdrom-XA iso9660 to burn a data cd, I don't understand what that means? Can someone please explain in plain English.

    When I updated my JVC it said to do this and that, I just burned the CD and it worked fine. Have you tried doing the update?

    these options can be set in most burning software .... what software do you use to burn your discs

    Have you tried just burning the disc? I didn't have to set anything to update mine. I just used windows, not Nero.
