    is there anyway to watch avis or divx in your dvd player
    if you convert to divx can you watch them on tv through your computer
    please let me know

    On your DVD player, no, unless you have one of the 2 or 3 expensive models that do play Divx.

    TV out from your computer, yes, of course you can. Anything that you can display on a monitor can be seen on a TV using TV out.
