  2. Go to the tools section on the left...download HeadAC3he, and use to change your AC3 to Wav or MP2. Use the new sound file to author your DVD.

  4. You probably have a 5.1 AC3 file you want to use. Since most basic authoring programs only support 2.0 AC3 files, you'll have to use ReelDVD or DVD Maestro if you want multichannel Dolby Digital.

I don't think that the lack of hardware decoders should keep you away from Maestro, which is an excellent and powerful program. If you want to preview your project before burning (and you're very right wanting to do so) just compile the project and use Power DVD to play it. It will only take fifteen minutes or so to compile and you can test all aspects of your project. You can also preview menus (static ones) from within Maestro to test navigation etc, even if you don't have decoders installed.

    Hope this helps

  5. Hey,

Maestro will play AC3 files but you need to install another program to get a preview in maestro.

    Cinemaster 2000 Dvd Player
Description: Cinemaster 2000 Dvd Player needs to be installed to fix the Realtime Preview functionality of DVD Maestro

  6. I see you have tried SpruceUp and have both the AC3 and the M2V in the same folder which is correct ...... but have you tried running the AC3 through AC3FIX first to correct the headers???

I tried for days to get an AC3 into Spruce until someone pointed this out to me. Worked perfectly after that.
