  1. Ive downloaded theghosts of mars dvd rip i think it is. Well i want to make a vcd out of it so i loaded it into tmpgenc and encoded it as normal into 2 dif mpgs and burned them as vcds, tried in windvd - no sound, tried on my dvd player - no sound. I went back to my pc and tried to play the 2 mpgs - no sound - only the original avi had sound.

I opened it up in vdub and got this msg

once the error had gone i saved the sound onto my desktop as a wav and then opend the file up and chose wav sound instead of source. I put the video onto direct sctream copy and them made the new avi - when i played this back the video was very much infront of the sound.

have i done something wrong in trying to fix this or have i done something right - please help.

here is a pic of the original file details

  2. use the audio interleave function in virtualdub to correct the synch gap, then save Wav file.

if that doesent work, open the movie in goldwave, it will just load audio only, and then save the Wav file from goldwave.

  4. type in values (in ms milliseconds) to correct the synch, use positive values if the audio is playing to early, and negative if the audio is playing too late. I use nandub to do this, but virtualdub can do it also.
