  1. I have a VCD of a concert that is made from a VHS tape of unknown generation. The audio is also from the same VHS. I have another audio recording of the same concert which is off the soundboard, and therefore, sounds much better. I'm trying to figure out how to make a new MPEG with the same video, but using the soundboard audio. I already ripped the MPEG to my hard drive, and made an image file of the sounboard audio. I attempted to make a new MPEG with TMPGEnc. When it was finished, I had an MPEG with great audio that wasn't synced to the video. I need some help figuring out how to sync the new audio to the video. The audio that is from the soundboard is also a little shorter than the video (they cut out the audience applause at the end.) So I may need to sync the two audio files over each other, if even only for the end of the video. I'm a newbie who feels like he might be biting off a bit more than he can chew, but I'm confidant that with some help, I can figure it out.

If the audio is off by some amount thruout the video, edit it as WAV and insert silence / cut away some part at the start with GoldWave, SoundForge, CoolEdit or other audio editing soft. Encode to mp2 with tooLame (or wav2mp) and multiplex with your video stream.

  3. Multiplex? Can you give me some advice on how to do that? I can handle WAV editing, but I don't know how to do that.
