  1. i got problems with panasonic mpeg 2.51

    i tried 2 convert a divx 2 pal video cd!
    everything worked fine with the trial version (for 30 sec of course

    now i got the full version and tried it with the same movie.when i hit the start encoding button,HE STOPS AFTER A FEW SECONDS (at "calculating an elapsed time&quot

    then he says "encoding completed" but he really didnt start 2 convert the movie...(its about 0 byte..)

    please help me out

  2. I've never used Panasonic. Why not try TMPGEnc? In the Howto section on the left are excellent guides to get you started. TMPGEnc produces good quality MPEGs. You say that you wan't to create PAL VCDs. When converting 23.976fps DivX's to PAL VCD the video will become jerky. When playing the VCD on a PC or TV that handles both PAL and NTSC select a NTSC FILM template in TMPGEnc. When you really need PAL in your standalone DVD player you'll need more converting. Use the search function on this forum and you'll see how that's done.

    i tried TMPEGEnc before, but when i want 2 open the movie as source he sais:

    "can not be open, or unsupported"

    but the movie seems 2 be ok,i can play it under the media player and as i said,
    it worked fine under panasonic encoder trial version,
    but stops after 5 sec. in the full version..
    thats strange.!
